Literature Text

As I doze in silk-summer grass, I'm thinking of you,
gazing at the vibrant ceiling we often contemplate together.
The distance between us is farther than time, yet somehow you're here beside me.

Then the breezy rustling of leaves and your soft breath on my neck.
Melodies of birdsong and the brook's murmur.  Your voice.
The fragrant buds offer their love – it is your scent that surrounds me.
Your eyes are the blazing afternoon sun.  The heat drinks all my breath.

We touch and discover in silent passion.  Sensuous innocence is all I knew
before this sweet seduction.  Caresses are tender upon me.
My spirit shines with the exquisite joy of you as I kiss the grass.
We lie as one, impossible lovers.  I will always be a virgin.

I love you as you love me.  You are water and sunshine.  I am ever grateful.
I press my ear to the earth and feel your heart pulsing deep within.
I love not man the less, but nature more.
- Lord Byron

Expressing my love for nature.
